Recruitment Notification for SBI PO Vacancy 2020
State Bank of India (SBI) has published the recruitment notification for Probationary Officer (PO) Job. Two thousand vacancies have been advertised for which the examination is going to be held from 31st December, 2020 onwards. Noteworthy Dates:
- Starting Date for Applying Online (Including Modification / Editing) and Fee Payment: 14th November, 2020
- Last Date for Applying Online (Including Modification / Editing) and Fee Payment: 4th December, 2020
- Date of Download of Tier-I (Preliminary Exam) Call Letters: From 3rd Week of December, 2020
- Date of Online Exam (Preliminary): 31st December, 2020 and 2nd 4th & 5th January, 2021

Examination Fee & Intimation Charges:
(I) General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC): Rs. 750/-
(II) For Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD): Nil
Note: The Application Fee is Non-refundable.
Age (As on 1st April, 2020): Minimum Age: 21 Years; Maximum Age: 30 Years. Age relaxation is applicable to OBC / PWD / SC and ST candidates as per GOI rules.
Educational Qualification (As on 31st December, 2020): Graduation in any stream from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification.
How to Apply:
- Candidates to logon to the website https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers and open the Online Application Form, provided under the ‘Current Openings’.
- Fill the online application form carefully and submit your data. On saving the application, the system will generate a provisional registration no. and password. Note them down carefully.
- If required, you can Reopen and Edit your application form using the registration number and password.
- Post registration, you must submit the application fee Online using debit card/ Internet Banking / credit card.
- Upon successful payment, an application form and e-receipt will be generated. These may be printed for your record.

(II) Descriptive Test
The duration will be 30 minutes. It will comprise English Language writing tasks (Letter & Essay). There will be 2 questions for a total of 50 marks.
Selection Procedure: Marks secured by candidates in Phase-II (out of 250) will be converted to out of 75. Marks in Phase-III (out of 50) will be converted to out of 25. The merit list will be prepared after aggregating (out of 100) the converted marks of Phase-II & Phase-III.
Note – I: Candidates have to qualify both Phase-II & Phase-III separately.
Note – II: Marks obtained in the Main Exam (Phase-II), in both the Objective & the Descriptive Tests, will be added to the marks scored in Phase-III for the preparation of the final merit list.
