SSC Exam Coaching

Finding the Best SSC Coaching in Delhi can be a challenging task for a student who is about to appear in the exam. The student is in search of an Institute which can provide that extra fillip to his/her exam preparation. There are many considerations playing in the mind of the student such as the quality of coaching classes, relevant study material, batch timing, affordable fees, etc.

Among these considerations, the most crucial one for the student is undoubtedly the quality of teaching. Quality of teaching in itself means a whole lot of things, such as teaching shortcuts and time-saving tricks, developing concept clarity, identifying the exam pattern, discussing exam strategy, doubt clearing, query handling, and so on.

Given this backdrop, very few Institutes can measure up to the expectation of students. Thus, the search of the student remains a search and does not come to a completion. If you happen to be in search of SSC Coaching Institutes in Delhi or NCR, joining Vidya Guru can make all the difference. It can help you not only crack the exam but also secure a top rank on the merit list.

The faculty members who teach at our centers have a deep understanding of various Govt. Job Exams and have successfully guided thousands of students. The faculty members teach in such a way that the best method of solving a particular problem is discussed. This method not only takes the least time but is also the most logical and effective one. Apart from concept building, a lot of stress is laid on addressing the areas of weakness which differ from one student to another. Students get ample time to interact with the faculty to sort out their doubts and problems.

How does an SSC Coaching Center help?

With each passing year, the number of SSC Exam aspirants increases. The competition has become much stiffer in the last 5 years with unsuccessful candidates from previous years getting added to the pool every time. In such a scenario, taking a chance by relying on self-preparation alone is not advisable.

Unfortunately, lakhs of candidates commit this mistake and end up being insufficiently prepared to tackle the increasing difficulty level of the exam. The exam is designed in such a way as to eliminate as many candidates as possible and to select only the most deserving and thoroughly prepared ones. Further, it has been observed that candidates securing the most coveted jobs are the ones from the Top Coaching Centres of the country. It is so because joining an Institute offers the following advantages to a candidate:

  • Systematic and Timely completion of the Syllabus
  • Guidance from Experienced Faculty
  • Understanding of the Exam Pattern
  • Well Structured & Exam Relevant Study Material
  • Test Series, Analysis & Discussion

When it comes to systematic preparation for SSC exams, certain specific areas need to be given extra emphasis. The subject-wise discussion of these areas has been given below:

Mathematics (Quantitative Ability)

Within Quantitative Ability (Mathematics), Geometry and Trigonometry have become critical areas. Questions based on trigonometric functions and identities are frequently asked in the exam. One’s knowledge and understanding of heights and distances are also invariably tested. Within Geometry, questions are put up on topics like Mensuration (2 Dimensional & 3 Dimensional), Area & Volume, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Circles, Lines & Angles, Similarity & Congruency of figures, and also co-ordinate geometry. Algebra is one area in which most students remain anxious.

Moreover, covering the vast variety of questions that can be framed on Algebra requires a dedicated effort on the part of the Institute as well as the candidate. Number systems and Arithmetic are the areas that students generally tend to focus on. But a focus on Arithmetic should not translate into neglect of Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry. Such neglect may prove to be a very costly mistake in the exam.

Logical Ability (Reasoning)

For almost all candidates Reasoning (Logical Ability) section of the exam is the most scoring one. In the last ten years, the overall difficulty level of the section has been on the moderate side. Unlike Banking Exams which have lengthy and complicated reasoning sets, SSC reasoning questions are shorter and much less time-consuming. Having done sufficient practice, any candidate with average general mental ability can solve them without much difficulty.

However, it is important to note that the Reasoning section doesn’t provide much of a competitive edge to a candidate over others in the fray because the scores here remain high across the board. Paper Folding & Cutting, Cubes & Dices, Figure Counting, Mirror Image & Water Image, Embedded Figures etc. are some of the topics that distinguish the Reasoning section of an SSC exam from that of other Govt. Job recruitment examinations.

General Knowledge

GK section of an SSC exam is quite extensive. It covers a wide range of areas such as General Science (Biology, Physics & Chemistry), Polity (Civics & Public Administration), History, Economics, Geography and Current Affairs. Questions from topics such as Art & Culture, Environment, Defence, International Organizations, Five Year Planning, Agriculture, Firsts in India & the World also find a place here.

Although the weightage of Current Affairs in SSC Examinations tends to remain low, yet it is advisable to expect around 2 to 3 questions based on recent events of national significance. In order to prepare effectively for this section a candidate should refer to NCERT textbooks on Science & Social Studies from classes 6th to 10th. Doing so is beneficial in covering the length and breadth of the section suitably. Regarding Current Affairs, we suggest Vidya Guru Youtube Channel as the resource that can be surely relied upon. English Language (Verbal Ability)

The section on the English language of any SSC Exam comprises questions on grammar (sentence error spotting & sentence improvement), reading comprehension, vocabulary, and correct linguistic usage. Apart from these areas, a student must specifically focus on questions pertaining to changing Direct Speech into Indirect Speech and converting Active Voice into Passive Voice. Enhancing one’s reading speed and vocabulary can be of enormous benefit as the exam contains unseen passages as well as direct vocabulary-based questions.

These questions are designed to assess a student’s general verbal ability and understanding of the written text. However, an improvement in reading and vocabulary requires dedicated effort in the right direction. The earlier one gets started with it, the better the results are. Referring to ‘Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis and routine reading of a first-rate English language newspaper such as ‘The Pioneer’ or ‘The Hindu’ are a must.

Is it necessary to take Coaching for SSC Exam?

Theoretically speaking, Coaching is not necessary for any exam whether it is IIT JEE, NEET, CAT, UPSC or SSC. But, in practical terms, quality coaching and right guidance makes a huge difference. In most cases, it is the ultimate difference between success and failure. It is a known fact that candidates having access to the Best SSC Coaching secure the Top ranks in the exam. In an SSC exam, such as CGL or CHSL, around 20 Lakh students compete against one another for a limited number of vacancies. The overall selection ratio is even lower than 1 out 100. Given such stiff competition, it is advisable that you should not leave anything to chance.

Moreover, the competition is even tougher if you want to get selected for any of the Top posts such as Income Tax, Excise, External Affairs Ministry or even Central Secretariat Services. Therefore, it is highly sensible on the part of a student to start preparing only under the guidance of qualified and experienced subject matter experts.

How to Prepare for SSC Exams?

In order to prepare effectively for SSC Exams, one has to systematically cover the syllabus for Tier-I & Tier-II exams. The Tier-I exam comprises Math (Quantitative Aptitude), English language, Reasoning Ability and GK. The Tier-II exam comprises Math (Quantitative Aptitude) and English language sections.

You can go through the syllabus given on our portal to get an idea of the topics that you need to study. However, covering the syllabus alone does not result in success. You will have to vastly improve your speed and accuracy to stand a chance of getting selected. Without the knowledge of the time-saving short cuts and tricks, it’s next to impossible to get a decent score, especially in the Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning sections. This is where the skills of our faculty, their track record and experience come into the picture. Finally, you can visit our Centre offering SSC Exam Coaching in Delhi and get the first-hand understanding from our faculty about how to crack the exam of your choice.
