About CLAT (Common Law Admission Test)

The Under Graduate CLAT is a 2-Hour exam, with 150 MCQs carrying 1 mark each. For every wrong answer, there is a provision of negative marking worth 0.25 marks. These Objective questions are spread across the 5 given subjects:

  • English Language (Around 28 to 32 Questions)
  • Current Affairs, including GK (Around 35 to 39 Questions)
  • Logical Reasoning (Around 28 to 32 Questions)
  • Legal Reasoning (Around 35 to 39 Questions)
  • Quantitative Techniques / Math (Around 13 to 17 Questions)

Eligibility Criteria

  1. There is no upper age limit for applying to CLAT (Under Graduate Program).
  2. Class 12thPerformance:

(a) 45% marks or an equivalent grade for candidates belonging to OBC / General / PWD / PIO / NRI / OCI categories.

(b) 40% marks or an equivalent for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste /Scheduled Tribe categories.

  1. Candidates appearing in class 12thexaminations are also eligible. If selected, they will have to submit the 12thClass result at the time of admission.
