SBI Vacancy 2018 Clerk Recruitment Notification

Schedule of Events:

  • Online Registration and Payment of Application Fee: From 20th January, 2018 to 10th February, 2018
  • Download of Call Letter for the Preliminary Exam (From Bank’s Website): 1st March, 2018 Onwards (Tentative)

No. of Vacancies (Junior Associates – Customer Support and Sales): 8301

Age Criteria (As on 1st January, 2018): Minimum: 20 years and Maximum: 28 years i.e. the candidate must have been born not before 2nd January, 1990 and not after 1st January, 1998 (both days inclusive)

Educational Qualification (As on 1st January, 2018): Graduation in any stream from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Union Govt.

Application Fees & Intimation Charges: (I) Rs. 100/- for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Persons with Disability & Ex Servicemen (II) Rs. 600 /- for all others

How to Apply: (I) Candidates should visit https://www.sbi.co.in/careers/ or https://bank.sbi/careers/, click on Recruitment of Junior Associates & open the appropriate application form provided in the ‘Current Openings’ section.

(II) All the details must be filled in carefully before submitting the data.

(III) After the data is saved, a provisional registration number & password will be generated by the system. Candidates must note down the password and registration number displayed on the screen.

(IV) Post registration, the candidates will be required to pay the application fee online by using credit card / debit card / internet banking / IMPS / cash cards / mobile wallets.

(V) Once the transaction is successfully completed, an e-receipt & application form with fee details will be generated; the same can be printed for record.

NOTE: (I) In case of any difficulty in filling up the online form, fee payment or receipt of call letter, candidates can call the helpline no. 022-22820427 (between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM) or file their queries on http://cgrs.ibps.in. (II) Candidates should not forget to write ‘Recruitment of Junior Associate-2018’ as the subject of the email.

Selection Process: (I) It will comprise online exams (preliminary & main) and the test of the specified opted local language. (II) The marks scored in the Preliminary Exam (Phase-I) won’t be added for the selection. (III) Only the total marks scored in the Main Exam (Phase-II) will be taken into consideration for preparing the final merit list.

NOTE: (I) The exam is going to consist of multiple choice objective questions. (II) Each section has a separate time limit. (III) No minimum pass marks for individual sections as well as for overall exam (in aggregate) have been prescribed.

NOTE: (I) There is going to be separate time limit for each section as specified above. (II) Negative marking will be there for incorrect answers. (III) In case of an incorrect answer, 25% marks allotted to the question will be deducted from the aggregate score. (IV) Candidates will have to score a minimum percentage marks in total which will be decided by SBI. (V) No separate qualifying marks for individual sections have been prescribed.

Test of the Specified Opted Local Language

(I) Candidates who qualify for selection and furnish 10th or 12th class mark sheet or certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language won’t have to take the language test. (II) In case of other candidates qualified for selection, the specified opted local language test will be organized after the provisional selection but prior to joining. Those not found to be proficient enough in this language test, will be disqualified.
